Why Give?

In Luke 19, Jesus tells the story of a Ruler who delegated money to each of his servants and asked them to "Put this money to work" while he was away...

The Ruler returns and finds the first servant invested his money wisely and doubled it. The second servant also invested wisely and made a fifty percent profit on his Ruler's money.

But the third servant made no profit. He hid it until His master's return so he could not be accused of being a bad investor who lost his master's money. Upset at his servant's sheepishness, the Ruler takes the money away from him and gives it to the first servant.

The servants are stunned. The first servant has already doubled his money, why give him more?

[The Ruler] "...That's what I mean. Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe, and end up holding the bag." Luke 19:26 (The Message)

Like the Ruler who entrusted each of his servants with resources to invest wisely, God entrusts You and I to steward well the resources and wealth He has gifted to us.

Giving is not about paying "Dues" or "Church Fees." Giving is about YOUR relationship with God. It's about opening your heart to the possibility that God loves risk-takers. Where your money goes, that is where your heart will follow. Yes, you risk your money when you give, but when you gain—you gain something that can't be priced!

Why Give Online?

Amazing as it might seem, we receive the majority of our funds the old-fashioned way, with folks dropping their investments in the silver "seed boxes" on the back wall of the auditorium. However, in order to better serve you and make giving as simple as possible, we now offer the option of giving online. Online giving allows you to:
  • Take a step of faith...deciding in advance to give faithfully.
  • Give without writing a check or running to the ATM.
  • Set up an automatic withdrawal so there is no weekly hassle.
  • Give even when you're not at a service.
